Now and Then

Time passes never linearly. Sequential yes, but every moment coming at its own pace, leaving too. I look back on this one in Croatia with great fondness and appreciation. Humbling to read some of the things I wrote, to now see the perspective of someone who was yet is no longer me, knowing I, now, will be young in my own eyes later, humbled then too. Even at death we are young to the future. Mystical, time really is. We are crossroads, canyons hearing our echoes.

I've wanted to go back and add more pictures (ha ha, already unreasonably many) , write about a day trip I never took, somehow hold more the million bits of experience that passed quickly by. Still laugh at my bad jokes so I know I'm still me. Almost wanted to correct some exaggerations and erase foolish words, but that's the way it was. A digital blog is so different from a journal. Bits erase perfectly. You can't place a pen on paper and trace the past, lift up the ink, place it again.

By the way, since I forgot to mention it, I'm back in the United States in good ol' Washington, D.C. I've been back since July 9th.
